Resumen

Alejandría fue fundada a orillas del río Nilo en el año 331 a. n. e. por Alejandro Magno. En esta ciudad se da uno de los encuentros más afortunados entre diversas civilizaciones. Los reyes Ptolomeo I y Ptolomeo II, grandes protectores de las ciencias y las artes, erigieron el Museo y la Biblioteca en donde aparecen obras de grandes personajes que constituyen los cimientos de la historia humana.

Abstract

Alexandria was founded on the banks of the Nile River in 331 BCE by Alexander the Great. This city witnessed one of the most fortunate encounters between different civilizations. Kings Ptolemy I and Ptolemy II, great patrons of the sciences and arts, erected the Museum and the Library, where the works of great figures were concentrated, forming the foundations of human history.
